Operations Manager

LOCATION: Wichita, KS (onsite)

Annual Compensation: $88,000 - $95,000 / year DOE

TheOperations Managerwill work with and lead all members of the local team to develop, implement and maintain necessary reports and documentation to ensure compliance with established operational goals and objectives, and make financial decisions in accordance with his/her assigned fiscal and volume budgets. This leader is responsible for various departments, which may include network and care coordination, depending on the market served. In addition, they must support the GMR values through demonstrated actions.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high level of service by treating internal stakeholders with the same respect and priority as external customers; monitor customer satisfaction and continuously improve service delivery.
  • Analyze market conditions and align out-of-hospital healthcare services to meet community, agency, and hospital needs.
  • Lead operational and clinical management to ensure quality, efficiency, compliance with GMR policies, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Oversee financial performance, including operating and capital budgets, cost containment, inventory and fleet management, and financial reporting.
  • Support business growth through marketing, business development, and effective contract negotiation and administration.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EEO, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws; maintain effective risk management and safety programs.
  • Establish disaster preparedness plans and coordinate response efforts with public and private emergency relief partners.
  • Set and communicate clear goals for field operations aligned with regional and organizational strategy; implement operational initiatives and success measures.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain talent; provide coaching, performance management, recognition, and fair, consistent employee relations.
  • Build strong labor relations, participate in dispute resolution, and champion affirmative action and inclusive employment practices.
  • Promote teamwork, process improvement, and best-practice sharing across regions and operating companies.
  • Support the integration of new companies into GMR through structured planning and execution.
  • Represent GMR positively through community involvement and professional engagement.
  • Serve as a role model for GMR's Vision, Guiding Principles, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
Education & Industry Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum of 3 years of general management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in EMS Education.
  • Current State EMT/Paramedic License.
  • BLS and ACLS Certification (AHA only).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare, or other appropriate field of study preferred.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications.
  • Effective internal and external customer service experience.
