Position Summary:

The Batterers Intervention & Peer Recovery Specialist provides direct support and intervention services to individuals with a history of domestic violence, co-occurring disorders and/or substance use disorders. This role combines evidence-based batterers intervention programming with peer recovery support to promote accountability, behavioral change, and long-term recovery.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling education, mental health counseling or related field.
• Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance use and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
• Must be able to pass advanced level CPI Training.
• Must be able to obtain provided CPR certification.
• Must be able to meet the statutory requirements to provide services as it relates to 65-H (Batterers Intervention Program), 65-E (Mental Health) and 65-D (Substance Abuse).
• Must meet requirements to be able to obtain the Florida Certified Recovery Peer Specialist through the Florida Certification Board.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
• Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Compensation:

Base pay ranges from $20.22 - $21.85 an hour based on experience.
