About the Job

Job Summary

The Humphrey School is looking to hire limited, part-time research assistants starting in May or June 2026. The research areas include higher education policy, transportation studies, environmental policy, economic competitiveness, racial and ethnic inequality, human rights and global policy.

Depending on the specific project, responsibilities may include:

  • Attending and/or coordinating research team meetings
  • Conducting literature review
  • Gathering and archiving data
  • Developing survey tools
  • Contributing to reports and data analysis
  • Supporting original data collection

Hours and schedule: ca. 10-32 hours/week, depending on associated project needs
Pay rate: $24-32/hr

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • College coursework in domestic or global public policy, economics, urban planning, energy or environmental policy, or other relevant fields
  • Relevant quantitative and/or qualitative research experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (or relevant graduate coursework)
  • Experience with data visualization

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
