Marine Foreman

We are currently recruiting for a Marine Foreman to be based out of our Florida West office which is located in St. Pete, FL.

As a Foreman you will be responsible for providing high level management to other field team leadman as well as our open-shop technicians that make our nation's structures stronger and last longer. Projects typically consist of concrete repair (both on land and near water, seawall remediation & repair, corrosion mitigation including cathodic protection, waterproofing, and structural strengthening in commercial and industrial settings.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• On-site supervision of field crews while accurately estimating labor requirements

• Developing crew schedules and ensuring work has been completed according to plans and specifications

• Completing daily field reports, purchase orders, delivery tickets and speed memos for customers and internal management

• Ensuring crews are operating tools and equipment in a safe, proper and productive manner

• Assisting Project Managers in evaluating various production rates related to the project

Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this exciting position:

• 5+ years of experience in general construction with at least 2+ of those years in a leadman or lead supervisory experience working on marine projects with commercial dive teams and coordinating underwater work on up to 3 projects simultaneously

• Must have experience in pile jacketing and concrete repair in the marine environment

• Must be willing to travel and work out of town (sometimes out of state) for extended periods of time.

• Proven ability to supervise up to 10 technicians with minimal subcontract oversight

• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and execute construction drawings and contract specifications

• Established dedication to safety and ability to display adherence to our Company's operating principles

• Proven experience to produce look-ahead schedules and work with other construction documents as required by the project

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the customer, crew and project teams

• Intermediate computer skills and construction math skills

• Pluses:

  • An ADCI Commercial Diving Supervisor or equivalent commercial diving certification is highly preferred.

  • Experience with structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, cathodic protection systems, seawalls, underwater concrete placements, and vessel operation

  • Prior experience with Power & Industrial (e.g. power plants) and/or Government (e.g. FDOT, NAVFAC) clients
