We are seeking a creative and collaborative Mid-Level UX Designer with a strong emphasis on Problem Solving, Figma and Design Systems, and cross-team collaboration. In this role, you will be responsible for designing intuitive and accessible user experiences across our native mobile and desktop platforms. You'll be a key partner to our product management and development teams, translating moderately complex challenges into simple design solutions. You will reside within a high-performing, highly supportive Design team.

You will play a key role in delivering experiences for Digital Messaging and Documents and Digital Advice.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct UX research to understand the needs and pain points of our members in Digital Messaging, Documents, and Advice experiences and related life events.

* Design and iterate on user interfaces for both native mobile (iOS/Android) and desktop applications, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user journey.

* Leverage Figma to its full potential, creating high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and detailed design documentation, including accessibility annotations.

* Contribute to and champion our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and adherence to accessibility standards.

* Collaborate closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to frame problems, scope solutions, and support product strategy through design services.

* Facilitate and participate in working sessions and group discussions to foster shared understanding and generate design solutions.

* Clearly articulate design choices and rationale, demonstrating a working understanding of human-centered and service design principles.

* Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

Requirements:

* 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design or product design, with a focus on web and native applications.

* Expert-level proficiency in Figma, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design for native mobile and desktop experiences.

* Demonstrated experience with design systems

* Working understanding of operating in an Agile environment

* A working understanding of accessibility standards and how to apply them effectively in design.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively and present work confidently.

* Experience working closely with stakeholders to frame problems and propose data-driven design solutions with clear rationale.

* Demonstrated working knowledge of utilizing research platforms such as Maze, User Testing, etc. for usability testing of prototypes.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40 to $43. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
