Description EwingCole is a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm with offices across the country. Our multi-disciplinary practice is built on the core values of professional excellence, design quality and collaboration. Our ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience and be a problem solver; eager to jump into projects and help bring a design vision to life. This candidate will be at the start of their professional career in design with an interest in how to bring research, details, codes and guidelines together with innovative and inspiring design solutions. We are looking for a curious mind who will bring both big questions and big ideas to the table. We are looking for an Interior Designer I to join our team in our New York Office. We are seeking a new team member who is passionate about design. Someone who can communicate clearly across all mediums: visual, verbal and written to express ideas, explain the reasoning behind those ideas, and weave a story that turns those ideas into a design vision. We invite you to bring your interests, your passions, your super powers - be they for sustainability, equity, empathy, or your secret sauce for making the world just a little bit better through our work. We want you to be a voice at our table. This person will be comfortable collaborating with team members and working independently to develop concepts, drawings and finish palettes. They will be responsible for assisting a senior designer on projects, attending meetings, and contributing to team discussions to help progress projects. Our teams are integrated and our interiors staff often participates in projects from start to finish (programming to construction administration), so in addition to design, an appetite for technical experience in construction documentation, detailing, and construction administration is a must.
