IT Security Specialist

Genesis10 is currently seeking a IT Security Specialist for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Atlanta, GA, Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for translating business requirements into the technical infrastructure architecture for a given solution. The ideal candidate will develop high-level strategies, create comprehensive architecture and design documents, and ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise standards while working collaboratively with cross-functional development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and ultimately into a Low Level Design (LLD) solution
• Develop High Level Designs (HLDs) that illustrate infrastructure and software interactions
• Partner with the client and Technology Infrastructure (TI) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to produce design solutions that meet business requirements
• Determine potential hosting environments and work with capacity planners to agree on hosting targets and sizing for CPU, memory, and storage
• Understand and adhere to governance mandates and enterprise standards
• Identify any non-standard products and address them with appropriate parties for resolution
• Document and identify any issues, risks, assumptions, or key decisions that would impact the technical design
• Work closely with the Technology Project Manager to communicate status, provide updates, and escalate issues as needed
• Update, maintain, and post accurate design deliverables to the project repository

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture or a similar role
• Experience translating functional requirements into infrastructure architecture and design
• Strong understanding of design and engineering approaches for distributed complex system solutions
• Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows), middleware, networking, storage, and databases
• Familiarity with methodologies such as ITSM, Agile, Scrum, and ITIL
• Excellent articulation, confidence, and leadership skills to lead design calls and partner with SMEs
• Ability to work individually and as a team member, and perform well under pressure
• Experience with Hadoop, Hive, and Spark

Desired skills:

• Experience within a global financial institution is a plus

Pay range: $70.25 - $78.25 per hour
