Overview

Director, Global Compensation | Remote - US We're looking for a Director, Global Compensation to join our team in a fully remote capacity.

Your role responsibilities? Here's what you'll do

    Own and evolve the global compensation philosophy and architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives, pay-for-performance principles, and defensible governance frameworks across all regions.
  • Lead end-to-end sales compensation strategy - including plan philosophy, eligibility, pay mix, target incentive levels, and role architecture - partnering with Sales and Finance to model plan design trade-offs and financial impact.
  • Serve as the enterprise owner of equity and stock-based compensation strategy, establishing eligibility criteria, grant guidelines, and approval thresholds while partnering with Finance and Legal on governance, regulatory compliance, and executive-level reporting.
  • Establish and maintain governance models for all compensation programs, including approval thresholds, exception management, documentation standards, and audit controls across functions and geographies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, preparing committee-level materials on compensation strategy, market competitiveness, pay equity, sales incentive effectiveness, and equity utilization.
  • Lead and develop the global compensation team, building scalable tools, frameworks, and manager education to enable consistent, high-quality compensation decision-making across the organization.

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CCP) preferred, with 10+ years of progressive experience in global compensation including leadership of enterprise-wide programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales compensation, equity-based compensation, and short- and long-term variable incentive plan design, governance, and execution.
  • Deep experience with job architecture, leveling frameworks, market pricing, and compensation governance across global jurisdictions.
  • Strong understanding of global compensation regulations, pay transparency requirements, and risk management across multiple regions.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and operate effectively in complex, cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders and formal governance forums.

What We'd Like to See

  • Experience owning enterprise-wide job architecture and leveling frameworks that support consistency, scalability, and defensibility across functions and geographies.
  • Track record of preparing executive- and committee-level compensation materials, including strategy outcomes, market competitiveness analysis, and equity utilization reporting.
  • Experience partnering with Finance and Legal to assess compensation-related risk, regulatory exposure, and financial impact across jurisdictions.
  • Proven ability to build scalable tools, manager education programs, and frameworks that enable high-quality, consistent compensation decision-making at scale.
  • Experience contributing to broader people strategy, workforce planning, and organizational design initiatives in a matrixed global environment.
