Responsibilities:

• Support HR tasks: onboarding, offboarding, and employee records
• Help with recruiting: job postings, interviews, and candidate coordination
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
• Maintain HR systems and generate reports
• Advise employees on HR policies, benefits, and procedures
• Assist with employee relations and organizational initiatives
• Support audits, documentation, and compliance activities

Requirements:

• 2+ years in HR or related field
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Experience

• Higher education or public-sector HR experience
• Supporting unionized employees
• Knowledge of recruitment and onboarding best practices
