Under direct supervision, the Certified Phlebotomy Tech performs specimen processing, accessioning, phlebotomy, heel and finger sticks, customer service, clerical duties, effective communication with laboratory customers, problem resolution, record keeping, supply inventory and maintenance, as well as cleaning and maintaining a safe work environment. Additional duties include operation of instruments, and preventative maintenance as appropriate to each section/department assigned. All duties must be carried out in accordance with current laboratory safety standards. A valid Phlebotomy Certification issued by the California Laboratory Field Services is required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $58,401 - $72,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $27.97 - $34.77 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
