Job Description: Responsibilities 1. Acquire, distribute, coordinate and maintain supplies and equipment used in blood collection or warehousing operations and report any shortages. Rotate inventory and ensure that supplies are stored, maintained, repaired and distributed in compliance with quality control standards. 2. Ensure master servers and scales are charged for uploads, manually upload when failures occur. Ensure masters are rotated and replaced when expired. Coordinate all kitting and drive related paperwork and ensure drives have all necessary paperwork for donors, sponsors and drive leads. 3. Maintain and perform quality control on equipment and supplies. Coordinate equipment tracking form and any equipment, ensuring equipment is properly forwarded for repair or replacement. 4. Inventory and order supplies from warehouse, maintaining Collections' supply and equipment area. Fill order requisitions from mobiles and fixed sites. 5. Prepare and dispose of kits in accordance with established directives. May clean and repack containers with supplies, solutions, and equipment for bloodmobiles. Report any missing supplies to supervisor and/or warehouse. 6. Drive blood collection vehicles to load and unload required supplies and equipment where applicable and as needed. Assign fleet vehicles; may manage keys and assign vehicles to drivers. Drive vehicles to/from vendor for repairs or maintenance. May be asked to assist with drive set up to load/unload drive equipment. 7. Prepare for deliveries by verifying orders, loading vehicles and maintaining route supply inventory to ensure prompt delivery of products to customers/blood drives start on time. Drive and restock remote staging locations, including fixed site locations. May maintain keys to facility blood drive locations and assign to staff. May operate forklift or trucks to move supplies. ------------------------- Scope Learning aspects of the job. Work on task-oriented assignments. Contact primarily within immediate work unit. Has continuous contact with blood donors and field staff and occasional contact with hospital customers. ------------------------- Qualifications Education: High School or equivalent required. Experience: 1 year of related experience preferred. Management Experience: N/A Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team. The ability to read, write and verbally communicate at the high school to college level is required. Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with Microsoft Office applications in a Windows environment is required. Ability to operate and remain competent to drive forklift. Previous truck and/or bus driving experience is desirable. Travel: N/A *Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted). ------------------------- Physical Requirements The duties are representative of the essential functions of the position. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds of weight; reach, bend, kneel, climb, push and pull; work in tight spaces. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools and work with a variety of chemicals and solvents. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
