Quality Control Inspector

At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL. Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Position Title Quality Control Inspector

Job Purpose:

Performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs. Performs packaging line and manufacturing inspections, and in-process and finished products meet company standards. May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated. Employee should have the ability to obtain pertinent information with regard to specific problems and draw appropriate conclusions and move to resolution. Solid computer skills for data entry is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs.
• Ensures activities and items are in compliance with documented Product Work Instructions and Procedures.
• Documents audit results and issues reports to management, as required.
• Must possess solid computer skills for data entry requirements.
• Must maintain a proactive approach on resolving issues; while maintaining a sense of urgency completing assignments on time.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 4-6 years' experience in Manufacturing Environment; specifically Product Inspection.
• Completed IPC-A-610 CIS certification and J-STD-001 CIS certification training would be a strong plus.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with engineering and management.
