Job Title: Sr Associate

Location: Cambridge, MA

Duration: 9 Months (Possibility of Extension)

Description

The ideal candidate will hold a Master or higher degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or Engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The candidate should have hands-on experience with chromatographic techniques such as Reversed-Phase Liquid Chromatography (RPLC). Proficiency with the Waters Empower Chromatography Data System (CDS) for data acquisition, processing, and management is required. Experience in working with oligonucleotides and synthetic small molecules is highly desirable. This individual will support chemists by analyzing samples using various chromatographic techniques, optimizing analytical methods for accuracy and repeatability, and troubleshooting instrumentation as needed. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, be adept at overcoming complex analytical challenges, and take a proactive approach to supporting and improving laboratory operations.

Top 3 Must Haves:

Use Waters Empower system (or other LC platform) to perform liquid chromatography analysis, experience in large molecules analysis is a plus.

Experience with operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of chromatographic and spectroscopic laboratory equipment.

Perform the Karl Fisher Titration for water content analysis.

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience

Associate's degree and 4 years of experience

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Hands on execution of routine sample preparation and analysis for in process, lot release, and stability samples using chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques for synthetic small molecules and/or oligonucleotides.

Organize and document analytical data under Good Documentation Practice using an electronic laboratory notebook system.

Provide and present results to support process development.

The resumes of the candidates will be collected for 1-2 weeks, and the hiring manager will send 3-5 candidates to HR for phone screening (1 week), and then hiring manager will have virtual interviews with 2-3 candidates and make the final decision (1-2 weeks).
