Description
Purpose and Scope The Salesforce Platform Manager owns and operates Tolmar's Salesforce.com CRM environment, serving as the central point of accountability for platform health, data integrity, and feature development. This role supports Tolmar's commercial organization primarily field sales, sales leadership, and marketing by ensuring the CRM evolves alongside business needs. They have a combination of deep Salesforce technical expertise with a track record of strong business partnership, acting as both system administrator and strategic collaborator. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Sales & Marketing Support
- Coordinate with sales leadership to modify sales team structure, onboard and offboard sales representatives, update accounts and contacts, and enhance salesforce objects and classes to meet evolving business needs.
- Train and coach sales representatives on Tolmar's salesforce.com system, reviewing key functionality so they can use the system effectively on their first day in the field
- Design and optimize page layouts and salesforce.com reporting based on field feedback to reduce administrative burden, and improve efficiency in call logging
- Build and maintain dashboards and scheduled reports for sales leadership and marketing, ensuring stakeholders have timely visibility into pipeline activity, call metrics, and territory performance
Territory Alignment & Account Ownership
- Implement zip code based and account-based alignments in salesforce.com, based on requirements and rules shared by analytics and sales leadership
- Work with commercial analytics team and field sales to ensure all contacts and accounts align with best available information from our commercial datasets as well as field intelligence
Account & Contact Data Management
- Manage external data matching and reconciliation processes to ensure accurate linkage between CRM records and enterprise data sources
- Govern record type usage, lifecycle states, and account hierarchies to ensure data consistency and usability
- Define and implement de-duplication and merge rules using external identifiers, address normalization, and business logic to maintain a single source of truth for accounts
- Oversee ongoing data quality monitoring, identifying and resolving inconsistencies across accounts, HCPs, and affiliations
Integration & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with IT and analytics teams on integration between Salesforce.com and adjacent systems (e.g., data warehouses, MDM platforms, marketing automation tools, or third-party data providers)
- Manage relationships with Salesforce support, AppExchange product vendors, and implementation partners as needed to resolve issues and evaluate new capabilities
- Monitor integration health and troubleshoot data flow issues between Salesforce.com and connected systems
System Maintenance & Documentation
- Build and maintain scalable automation using Flow and Apex to support ownership assignment, data updates, and business processes
- Translate business requirements into standardized, reusable automation patterns across business units, and troubleshoot existing automation to improve performance and maintainability
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configuration, automation logic, data flows, and integration points
- Manage sandbox environments, coordinate deployments, and follow change management best practices to minimize disruption to production users
- Perform various other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent knowledge of and shown proven expertise with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce CPQ.
- Knowledge of development tools and processes that will aid in formulating use cases and designing project requirements.
- Ability to apply critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced atmosphere while managing various requests is needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build sustainable applications, i.e. sales, marketing and analytics.
- An analytical problem solver who knows and employs all declarative automation and Salesforce ecosystem features.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities, as well as the ability to communicate successfully with both technical and non-technical internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to grasp the requirements of clients from diverse sectors and translate those demands into a compelling vision and roadmap for our clients.
- Salesforce implementation experience across the whole Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong communication skills, with proven track record translating business requirements into technical salesforce.com solutions
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or another quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience working in salesforce.com administration, preferably in life sciences
- Strong proficiency with Sales Cloud, flows, apex classes, lightning components, and custom objects
- Certifications: Platform Administrator Required, Developer 1 and App Builder would be a plus

Compensation Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices, including market-based base pay and a strong benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary from the posted range based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $100,000 and $125,000 however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/26 through 12/31/26, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
