Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional for the role of Senior Manager, Clinical Supply Chain In this position you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless execution of clinical supply operations across multiple programs. You will hold program-level ownership and trial-level leadership for clinical supply delivery, ensuring reliable, compliant, and uninterrupted supply of clinical trial material to sites worldwide, in support of Alnylam's growing pipeline and patient needs. This role provides both leadership and hands-on execution. You will support CSC team members in operational delivery while also serving as a senior individual contributor for complex or large scale studies when needed. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with senior CSC leaders to maintain robust, compliant and effective operational processes. You will partner crossfunctionally with Quality Assurance, Clinical Operations, Program Management, and Regulatory Affairs, and external CMOs, to drive successful trial execution in a dynamic environment. Strong, proactive communication is essential, as the role interfaces regularly with internal stakeholders and external partners. Overall, you will be responsible for supporting CSC team members, overseeing supply execution, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring clinical supply program objectives are met efficiently throughout the lifecycle of assigned studies and programs. This position is well-suited for professionals with experience supporting large, global clinical studies or multiple concurrent trials in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting. You will focus on overseeing programs, protocols, and CSC team members as you manage the global supply of essential clinical materials, prioritize needs, and maintain operational excellence. Your ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and navigate complex operational challenges will be key to success. This position is hybrid and will be primarily located in the Alnylam Cambridge office. Key Responsibilities * Accountable and/or responsible for clinical supply related activities for assigned program(s) and/or protocol(s) including, but not limited to execution of supply strategy, IRT setup & management, packaging, labeling, distribution, returns, destruction, and study closeout. * Drive issue resolution across vendors and internal teams, balancing speed, quality, and compliance * Identify, assess, and manage execution-related risks at the program and trial levels * Provide program-specific insights, emerging risks, and execution details to Clinical Supply Chain Strategic Planners to ensure effective supply plan * Support and mentor CSC team members as needed on operational execution of clinical supply activities * Ensure all program goals and objectives are met on time & monitored across the course of the study, from a clinical supplies perspective (e.g. FSA, FPI, enrollment progress) * Support inspection readiness for assigned program(s) and/or protocol(s) and department processes. * Ensure current systems & procedures are aligned with current regulations & industry standards. * Responsible for program budget and long range budget planning for assigned programs. * Engage with CMO, CRO, & key suppliers that support systems, production & distribution. * People Management - direct and indirect Qualifications * B.Sc. in a scientific field or Supply Chain Management. Pharmacy degrees are encouraged to apply. * 6-8 years of direct Clinical Supply Chain experience globally * Knowledge of end to end clinical supply chain with a focus on operational execution * Proficient knowledge of various project management and process tools MS Office (e.g. Excel, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) * Experienced working with & managing third-party CMO clinical supply operations. * Strong experience of - IRT/RTSM including development of specifications, , & understanding areas of limitations, risks, or gaps to mitigate * Excellent communication, attention to detail, collaboration, ability to manage complex challenges, and influencing skills #LI-LJ1 U.S. Pay Range $136,900.00 - $185,200.00 The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
