Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Designation Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in beneficiary designations, coordinating with policyholders, agents, and internal teams to obtain clarification or corrected documentation.

Confirmation Requests: Respond to beneficiary confirmation inquiries from policyholders, agents, and internal stakeholders by verifying current designations and providing official documentation.

Compliance Verification: Review beneficiary designation forms for completeness and compliance with state-specific requirements and company standards before processing.

Beneficiary Designation Entry: Manually input and process beneficiary designation forms into a variety of internal systems, ensuring accurate recording of primary and contingent beneficiaries across all policy types.

  • Creates, maintains, and updates client level and participant records; ensures coverage applied for is within policy provisions.

  • Bills, clears, and reconciles group and individual premiums. Addresses discrepancies and works with internal resources and/or client to resolve problems.

  • Participates in client conference calls, visits, or stewardship meetings as requested to build relationships, resolve issues, or document and propose new procedures related to the ongoing service of new business.

  • Works on new client implementations as needed, system set up and onboarding of participant records including 1035 exchange.

  • Performs within established productivity, service level standards, and quality assurance (QA) goals.

  • Maintains FINRA/SEC guidelines regarding daily processing requirements. (Premium clearing, surrender, loans, and withdrawals) Participates in Compliance Auditing to ensure 38a-1 requirements are met.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and focus.

  • Self-motivated and reliable.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable working independently in a queue-based environment.

  • Open to training; no prior life insurance experience required.

  • Ability to work with legal documents and conduct state-level compliance research.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Requires working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience.

  • Identifies the problems and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions.

  • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$18.80 - $32.69

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
