Position Overview

The Senior Director, Production is responsible for driving the delivery of production across the Brand Activation & Events division in the US, delivering and overseeing world-class experiences for both B2B and B2C audiences. This leader oversees a team of producers and production specialists responsible for the execution of complex experiential programs including conferences, brand activations, fan experiences, trade shows, sponsorship activations, and large-scale consumer events.

This role ensures that creative ideas are translated into operationally sound, scalable, and financially disciplined executions, while maintaining the highest standards of production excellence.

The Senior Director partners closely with Client Leadership, Strategy, Creative, and Business Development to ensure programs are deliverable, profitable, and aligned with client objectives. They are also responsible for building production capability, elevating team performance, and developing scalable production systems that support continued growth of the Brand Activation & Events division.

Responsibilities

Production Leadership & Delivery



  • Drive production delivery across the US, ensuring seamless execution of B2B and B2C experiential programs from concept through completion.
  • Ensure creative ideas are translated into executable production plans that maintain design intent while meeting operational and budget requirements.
  • Oversee production strategy for a portfolio of programs including:

    • Corporate conferences and summits
    • Trade shows and exhibitions
    • Brand activations and experiential campaigns
    • Sponsorship and sports activations
    • Fan festivals and consumer events


  • Maintain rigorous oversight of budgets, timelines, risk management, and operational planning across all projects.


Team Leadership & Development



  • Lead and mentor a team of Executive Producers, producers, senior producers, and production specialists across the US.
  • Support the development for production excellence, operational rigor, and vendor management.
  • Contribute to building scalable team structures that support continued growth and increasing program complexity.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and creative problem-solving.
  • Work closely with the creative team to identify new products, services, technologies that will increase our win rates, satisfaction scores and/or drive efficiencies


Production Strategy & Operational Excellence



  • Support the development and implement best-in-class production processes, tools, and workbacks that ensure consistent delivery quality across programs & establish standard operating procedures/processes that we can scale and replicate regionally
  • Drive strong financial discipline, ensuring programs are executed efficiently while maintaining production quality.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize vendor partnerships, fabrication strategies, and logistics models.
  • Partner with finance and leadership to support margin targets and profitability goals.


Client & Cross-Functional Partnership



  • Collaborate closely with Client Leadership and Account teams to ensure programs meet client objectives and expectations.
  • Partner with Creative teams to translate ideas into viable builds, environments, and experiences.
  • Support Business Development and pitch teams by evaluating production feasibility, developing budgets, and advising on execution strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted senior advisor to clients on production strategy, experience design, and operational planning.


Vendor & Partner Management



  • Build and maintain a strong ecosystem of fabricators, technical vendors, logistics partners, and production specialists.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure strong cost control and production quality
  • Establish scalable vendor partnerships capable of supporting large-scale national and global activations.


Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • 12-15+ years of experience in experiential marketing, live events, brand activations, or large-scale event production.
  • Proven experience leading complex B2B and B2C programs including conferences, trade shows, brand activations, and consumer events.
  • Demonstrated success leading and scaling high-performing production teams.
  • Deep understanding of event fabrication, staging, logistics, and experiential build-outs.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing large production budgets and driving margin discipline.
  • Ability to balance creative ambition with operational feasibility.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting new business development and pitch processes is highly valued.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 40%.
