Job Description




As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic technology location, where you will monitor entry points, screen visitors and team members, and support access control activities. This role combines customer service, communication, and attention to detail to help maintain a secure environment and help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a technology location.
  • Monitor entry points and perform screening activities for people, packages, bags, and/or equipment in accordance with post orders and location guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, lobby areas, screening stations, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Document daily activities, screening results, and unusual incidents, and help to deter unauthorized access through visible presence and consistent application of procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
