Overview
Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. The CO+I CTO Office is looking for a Technical Leader in systems, components, and networking. The Technical Leader for Systems Engineering will take CTO technology innovations into production, including defining reliability and quality requirements and supply chain development and enablement. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical alignment with cross-functional teams for hardware systems (CPU, GPU, racks), networking, and datacenter roadmaps. This individual will be expected to think outside the box and seek opportunities to collaborate or codevelop with industry partners and/or academia to develop innovative solutions. We are looking for a leader who is creative, talented, and experienced with a deep technical background and expertise in system environments (power, thermal, reliability, etc.). The position requires bringing innovative operations, expertise working with planning, and innovative team. You will collaborate with Advance Development technical subject matter experts (SME), Datacenter Design Engineers, Platform and Component Designers, Data Scientists, Supply Chain, Datacenter Operations, and other engineering disciplines to develop component and system level solutions. #COICareers Technical Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
