Our client is looking for a UX Designer (Prototype & Editorial Experiences) to join their team!
This is a 40 hours/week, ~3-month, fully remote, contract assignmentthat is U.S.-based, and flexible across time zones with overlap for stakeholder collaboration. Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of high-fidelity, clickable prototypes that explore new models for content discovery, blending product innovation with editorial storytelling.
Translate research insights, product strategy, and content goals into tangible UX concepts, creating wireframes, interaction models, and polished prototypes that test key hypotheses.
Reimagine end-to-end user journeys, connecting editorial content, recommendations, and discovery surfaces into cohesive, narrative-driven experiences.
Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders-including product, research, design, and editorial-to align on vision, iterate quickly, and refine concepts based on user feedback and testing.
Apply strong editorial judgment to content prioritization, hierarchy, and framing, ensuring that experiences feel intuitive while elevating storytelling and engagement.
Rapidly iterate on concepts through prototyping, producing artifacts for user testing such as clickable flows, front-end experiences, and exploratory design directions.
Operate with a high degree of autonomy, navigating ambiguity and making strategic connections to shape early-stage (0?1) product thinking.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products, with a strong focus on UX, prototyping, and interaction design.
Advanced proficiency in Figma, with the ability to create high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that closely simulate final product experiences.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in prototyping, wireframing, and designing for storytelling or content-rich environments (editorial experience is highly preferred).
Proven ability to translate strategy and research into clear, testable design solutions while working independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $100.00-$125.00 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
