Summary:
Performs product kit assembly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment & assist with preparing shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned.)


  • Reads and understands blueprints, bill of material, and pulls parts from printed pick lists.
  • Oversees planning and building of kits for various customers.
  • Moves product from various building with non-cdl truck including loading and unloading of truck.
  • Assembles both small and large sub-assemblies according to prints or drawings.
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine assembly sequence, and setup requirements
  • Follows work instructions from general description. Works with other team members to troubleshoot mechanical/fit issues in a satisfactory manner
  • Attaches shipping instructions to outgoing materials.
  • Performs daily safety inspection of department forklifts.
  • Safely operates industrial forklift truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products in the shipping department.
  • Inspect shipments for correct materials, packing, tagging, and handling instructions.
  • Completes inventory audits when necessary and cleans and organizes work area.
  • Assist with the receiving function as needed.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 months of related experience or training preferred.
  • Experience safely operating forklift equipment; ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, memos, and operating procedures.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Comfortable communicating one-on-one with team members.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
