We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team!

About the Role:

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in coordinating and managing the efficient movement of goods and services across various transportation channels within the United States. This position is responsible for scheduling and dispatching drivers, monitoring shipments, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role requires close collaboration with drivers, warehouse personnel, and customers to resolve any issues that may arise during transit. The Logistics Coordinator must optimize routes and schedules to maximize operational efficiency and minimize costs. Ultimately, this position ensures that logistics operations run smoothly, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the overall success of the supply chain.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced environment, dispatching, or transportation coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards within the United States.
  • Proficiency in using dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise instructions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to effectively operate through email, mapping software, and computer systems (data entry).
  • Multitasking: Ability to prioritize high-volume tasks and make adjustments to schedules as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and advanced routing software.
  • Familiarity with freight documentation and customs regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., Certified Logistics Associate or similar).

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Monitor the progress of shipments and communicate proactively with drivers and customers regarding any delays or issues.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage loading and unloading schedules and inventory availability.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and shipment details in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve logistical problems such as route changes, vehicle breakdowns, or delivery discrepancies, service interruptions, and unexpected issues, acting as the liaison between field units and customers/supervisors promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all phases of transportation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve logistics processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
