DESCRIPTION

Under supervision, performs skilled journeyman electrician tasks; maintain, repair, and install electrical systems, equipment and components such as: motors and motor controllers, lighting systems, control devices, switches and cables; transformers, and conductors. Test, troubleshoot and locate electrical malfunctions using appropriate test instruments. Coordinate services with Hospital employees and contractors. Job standards are to be performed at the EXPERT level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proof of Journeyman Electrician status.
  • Five (5+) or more years of experience working on institutional construction projects.
  • Two (2+) or more years of experience working on OSHPD regulated projects.
  • Previous experience working in acute care/hospital setting.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of and experience with tools, equipment and products of the trade.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Electrician License.
  • Ability to work within infection control containments.
  • Experience working in occupied healthcare environments.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Must be able to work at heights; in confined spaces and lift motors.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $105,841 - $105,841 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $50.69 - $50.69

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
