Job Summary

The Total Rewards / HR Coordinator II provides advanced support for Total Rewards programs and HR operations. This role enhances service delivery by resolving more complex cases, coordinating processes with vendors, and supporting cyclical rewards programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for Total Rewards-related inquiries including benefits, compensation processes, and general program information.
  • Resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 questions related to HR policies, benefits basics, payroll inputs, onboarding, and HR systems.
  • Triage and escalate more complex issues to Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners, or Senior Coordinators when appropriate.
  • Coordinate complex benefit transactions such as life event escalations, retroactive updates, and vendor file corrections.
  • Partner with benefits vendors to resolve eligibility discrepancies, advanced claims issues, and data mismatches.
  • Monitor and track leave of absence cases and disability claims; assist with compliance documentation.
  • Maintain and audit job, grade, pay, and market data within the HRIS to support compensation structure integrity.
  • Run recurring and ad-hoc reports used for compliance, audit support, program analysis, and leadership insights.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues in partnership with Payroll, HRIS, and vendor teams.
  • Assist in user testing for system updates or enhancements that affect compensation or benefits workflows.
  • Contribute to SOP development, job aids, and continuous improvement updates.
  • Recommend solutions for improving data accuracy, workflow efficiency, or employee experience.
  • Support compliance efforts across HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, ACA, FLSA, and other state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain secure handling of sensitive employee data at all times.
  • Assist with compliance filings, audit deliverables, and reconciliations for Total Rewards programs.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of HR, benefits, or compensation operations experience.
  • Prior experience with audits, reporting, analytics, and process improvement required.
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS and case management systems.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel (e.g., filtering, VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high-quality customer experience with professionalism and empathy.


Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $46,200 - $69,200

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
