- POSITION SUMMARY Part-time firefighter under the direction of the shift captain, firefighters/driver operators perform structural and ARFF firefighting related functions as well as other duties as assigned.at Holston Army Ammunition Plant located at Kingsport, TN. RESPONSIBILITIES Respond to a variety of fire emergencies, including commercial structures, industrial processing facilities, and situations involving energetic materials. Investigate and respond to fire alarms, including sprinkler activations and deluge system activations. Respond to and mitigate hazardous material incidents as part of our hazmat team. Responding to medical emergencies. Respond to emergencies involving energetic materials, ensuring safety and mitigation. Conduct technical rescues, including confined space, high-angle, or other specialized rescue scenarios. Conduct fire inspections. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 18 years of age US Citizen GED or High School Diploma Valid drivers' license and driving history acceptable to the customer Ability to pass a background check acceptable to customer Ability to pass pre-employment Firefighter/DOT physical, Drug Screen, and Physical Ability Test (PAT) Must have DOD or Pro Board/IFSAC Firefighter II. Must have Haz-Mat Technician Must have NR-EMT/Paramedic.
