Position Overview
| Primary Purpose of Position |
DCTC Program Coordinator (FullTime, Temporary)
The
DCTC Program Coordinator will support the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Civilian Training Corps (
DCTC) program-an ROTClike initiative designed to strengthen the DoD civilian talent pipeline by preparing students with critical skills education, leadership development, and applied learning experiences through internships and handson projects.
Reporting to the Project Principal Investigator (PI), the Program Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative, fiscal, grants, and studentfocused support to ensure effective program implementation and compliance with award requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Program Administration & Coordination
* Support daytoday operations of the
DCTC program in close collaboration with the Project PI and project team.
* Serve on planning committees and coordinate logistics for program meetings, events, and activities involving internal and external stakeholders.
* Prepare, edit, and manage program communications and materials, including correspondence, presentations, reports, and other required documentation.
* Travel with the
DCTC team as needed to support program activities.
Budget, Grants, and Compliance
* Develop, monitor, and reconcile the
DCTC program budget in accordance with university policies and sponsor guidelines.
* Coordinate grant management activities, including collaboration with pre and postaward functions in the Division of Research to ensure timely reporting, compliance, and fiscal stewardship.
* Acquire goods and services using approved university procurement procedures.
* Submit travel preapprovals and expense reports; provide regular budget updates to ensure funds are expended in alignment with the award and project timeline.
Student Support & Academic Monitoring
* Serve as a primary point of contact for
DCTC scholars, providing hightouch administrative and programmatic support.
* Access student records and monitor academic progress to support retention and successful program completion.
* Ensure students respond to required communications and requests in a timely manner.
* Coordinate and track scholar payments, including stipends and other student support funds, to ensure accurate and timely disbursement in collaboration with appropriate university offices.
* Support recruitment, selection, and retention strategies for
DCTC scholars in consultation with the Project PI and project team. |
