This is a hands-on "Lead Position" directing a crew of 4 to 6 people to meet Production, Safety, Maintenance, and Quality Objectives.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

* Accurately follows directions in a timely manner.
* Organize product per priority using lean methodology to ensure production requirements are met.
* Communicate with scheduling personnel to meet fast track jobs.
* Train staff to meet work instruction and quality objectives.
* Ensure product matches with the customer order sheets.
* Comply with health, safety (including OSHA), and environmental procedures.
* Continue to learn and expand one's own capacity within this job by increasing knowledge and skill base.
* Mentor employees and assist them with professional development.
* Foster and promote a team environment that embraces diversity and inclusion.
* Perform various other assignments per lead person or supervisor direction.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages crew of 4 to 6 employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this group. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

* Demonstrable ability to lead and direct employees to meet Fab-Tech production expectations in this work area including work instruction tasks, maintenance tasks, and special projects.
* Ability to read and write Basic English.
* Can speak and understand Basic English with an emphasis on accurately communicating tasks and objectives.
* Ability to read cut sheets and technical drawings.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Ability to use measurement tools of the area.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written technical procedures and customer order sheets as well as follow verbal instruction.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply basic mathematical skills to include decimals, fractions, and conversions. Measurement skills to include tape measure, sheet metal gauge, and dial calipers.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and suggest solutions.
