Description

Markon is seeking an Analytic Editor (Level 3) to support an Intelligence Community customer. This position will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and editing intelligence products to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with information sharing policies and standards. This role plays a critical part in preparing analytic content for publication and dissemination, while ensuring consistency in messaging, formatting, and tradecraft across products. This role will also provide guidance on writing and organization, mentor team members, and coordinate internally and externally to support mission requirements.



Responsibilities

    Draft, review, and edit intelligence reports, briefings, and analytic products for clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Verify source accuracy, content quality, and dissemination formats prior to publication.
  • Ensure all products adhere to information sharing policies, tradecraft standards, and organizational guidelines.
  • Prepare information for publication or presentation, ensuring proper structure and formatting.
  • Provide guidance on writing style, content organization, and dissemination methods.
  • Mentor and support team members in developing analytic writing and editing skills.
  • Coordinate information internally and externally to ensure alignment across stakeholders.
  • Support report writing, respond to customer requests, and contribute to the development of analytic products.
  • Maintain consistency and quality across all deliverables.


Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in writing, editing, or producing technical or analytic reports/products, preferably within signals intelligence (SIGINT), information assurance, or intelligence analysis environments.
  • High School Diploma/GED + 12 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate's Degree + 10 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Bachelor's Degree + 8 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Master's Degree + 6 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Doctoral Degree + 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of analytic tradecraft, intelligence reporting standards, and dissemination processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.


Salary Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
