Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; OR four (4) years of relevant experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.



Job Summary

Oversees all video operations for Men's Basketball. Implements and maintains basketball video library system for prospective student-athlete recruiting, basketball practices, games and future competitors.

  • Edits game film into point of attack tapes, updates of FIU film library on a daily basis, assists the assistant coaches in gathering of high school film, provides daily updated film lists to the assistant coaches daily.
  • Coordinates video operations for basketball practices and games (both home and away).
  • Edits all practice and game film & creates season highlights to design video used for recruiting purposes.
  • Assists the Director of Basketball Operations with preparing videos of trips and campus tours.
  • Utilizes the digital video equipment responsible for allocation of video footage to position coaches on a daily basis.
  • Acquires & distributes films on upcoming opponents.
  • Conducts research on price comparison, cost analysis and secure the best possible price on video needs to utilize the basketball budget effectively.
  • Maintains confidentiality for the department. Treats with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity any matter pertaining to medical, academic and personal data of student athletes and any information either directly or indirectly impacting the University and/or Athletic Department.
  • Assists in coordinating pre-season/summer training schedules.
  • Implements and maintains basketball video library system for prospective student-athlete recruiting, basketball practices, games and future competitors.
  • Supervises college work study students and interns regarding video operations.
  • Creates on court workout and strength and conditioning schedules. Helps create on-court workout programs.
  • Oversees the time management of all on and off courts schedules of the players.
  • Creates video templates for all on court development and strength and conditioning workouts. Strategizes and helps create individual player workout plans.
  • Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Basketball Video Coordinator.
  • Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
