Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds

Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying the appropriate parties.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, public areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and other access points, and help to manage visitor entry, deliveries, and restricted-area control in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership, and support law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton, preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
