Job Summary:


Under the direction of Legal Counsel- North America, the Contract Analyst is responsible for analyzing contract requirements and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate corporate policies and procedures, laws, and regulations while also reviewing and researching legal issues on behalf of the corporation. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.



Essential Functions:



  • Conduct initial reviews of contracts, and other similar documents, highlighting areas of the contracts which do not comply with corporate policies and procedures, or which pose a risk under federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate internally with various individuals and departments to discuss any risks or areas of non-compliance in the contracts or other documents.
  • Modify contracts, or other documents, to reduce the identified risk or areas of non-compliance.
  • Prepare and administer routine or specialized correspondence and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittals of contracts and other documents.
  • Assist individuals and departments during contract negotiations. Ensure all elements of a contract, or other documents, are included in the final documentation, including, but not limited to, checklists, exhibits, and amendments.
  • Collect necessary signatures and/or notarizations on contracts or other documents. Deliver finalized contracts, or other documents, to appropriate parties.
  • Update and monitor internal contract and matter management systems.
  • Review contract termination dates and coordinate potential contract renewals with internal individuals and/or departments.
  • Prioritize contract review requests from business departments


Other Functions:



  • Conduct risk analysis and mitigations planning related to current corporate policies vis-a-vis contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate compliance audits with appropriate department personnel related to contractual requirements.
  • Assist with policy and procedural development and drafting to ensure compliance with contractual requirements on an "as needed" basis.
  • Create new and review and improve internal contract templates.
  • Monitor and respond to contract requests and inquiries, both internally and externally.
  • Maintain documentation on legal issues or risks affecting the business.
  • Monitor federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and other administrative rules that may affect the corporation.
  • Research legal issues on behalf of the corporation when requested.
  • Draft legal memorandums, e-mails, letters, and other documentation that summarizes the corporation's position on legal issues when requested.
  • Any other task or duty assigned by management.


Success in this Role Requires:



  • Familiarity with legal language and contract provisions.
  • Familiarity with legal research techniques and resources.
  • Ability to compare and recognize risks and areas of non-compliance contained within contractual requirements.
  • Ability to lead meetings and drive discussions related to risk and areas of non-compliance.
  • Time management skills to meet customer deadlines or managerial/supervisory priorities when possible and, if not possible, document internal setbacks causing delays for proper escalation and decision-making.


What You'll Bring:



  • Experience as a commercial paralegal or Juris Doctorate (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in contract management required
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in contract management.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage time and excel in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Ability to work with people of different professional backgrounds, internally and externally.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
