The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $78,480.00 to $98,100.00. The range may vary if the role outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

The Demand Planning Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Demand Planning organization by maintaining core forecasting processes and ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and operational excellence across planning platforms. This role underpins the monthly forecasting cycle and enables timely, reliable decision-making across the business.

The Analyst is responsible for executing and maintaining key system processes while providing analytical support that strengthens forecast quality, improves responsiveness to innovation, and supports evolving route-to-market complexity.

Key Responsibilities

Forecast & Process Execution:

  • Support RTD (Ready-to-Drink) demand planning support activities.
  • Execute recurring monthly planning processes within tight cadence timelines.
  • Reconcile closed-month actuals across Anaplan and Essbase to ensure alignment and data integrity.

System & Master Data Management:

  • Maintain master data in Anaplan, including:
    • New product setup
    • Discontinued item management
    • Allocation and supply constraint updates
  • Ensure accurate system configuration to enable reliable statistical forecasting and planning outputs.

Central Forecasting Support:

  • Execute mass overrides for innovation items and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain forecasting integrity across innovation pipelines.
  • Support risk and opportunity adjustments as needed.

Analytics & Decision Support:

  • Provide high-level forecasting analysis to support planning decisions.
  • Identify data inconsistencies, risks, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Support ad hoc management requests and business reviews.

Agility & Business Support:

  • Support evolving route-to-market requirements.
  • Provide backup demand planning coverage for markets as needed.
  • Enable organizational flexibility by stepping into broader demand planning responsibilities when required,

Impact & Organizational Importance

The Measure of Success for a Demand Planning Analyst centers on the ability to synchronize supply with market reality. You'll be evaluated on your impact on the following key performance indicators:

  • Forecast Accuracy & Bias: Maintaining high levels of statistical accuracy while minimizing systematic "bias" (over or under-forecasting) to ensure leaner inventory levels.
  • Customer Fill Rates: Directly influencing the business's ability to meet consumer demand on time and in full without creating costly surpluses.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 4+ years of experience in Demand Planning, S&OP, Business Analysis, or Financial Planning.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead meetings and align stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Experience with statistical forecasting tools and business intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with ERP systems (JDE or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, matrixed organization.
Preferred Background
  • Experience working in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), preferably within wine & spirits or a similar sales-driven industry.
  • Understanding of promotional planning and marketing calendar alignment with demand forecasts.
  • Knowledge of depletion data and customer planning cycles is a plus.
