Overview

You'll help build and enhance the technology that supports global corporate lending at one of the world's leading financial institutions. You will work alongside experienced engineers across Cary, Berlin, Bangalore, and Frankfurt to develop cloud-ready applications used by teams around the world. You'll contribute to transforming legacy systems into modern microservices as the platform expands into Google Cloud Platform, while gaining exposure to emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence-driven solutions. What You'll Do

  • Develop and enhance backend services in Java as part of a modern microservices architecture

  • Support the migration and build-out of applications in Google Cloud Platform

  • Contribute to building application programming interfaces and web components that support global financial workflows

  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and testing practices

  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across international teams to deliver high-quality solutions

  • Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and domain knowledge within financial technology

Skills You'll Need

  • Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles

  • Understanding of RESTful web services and service-based architectures

  • Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle

  • Experience using version control systems such as Git

  • Exposure to automated testing concepts such as Test Driven Development or Behavior Driven Development

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Strong curiosity and eagerness to learn from senior engineers

  • Interest in cloud platforms and modern software development practices

  • Ability to work collaboratively in globally distributed teams

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $85,000 to $129,500.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
