The impact you'll make

As a Program or Project Manager at Lam, you will play a pivotal role in driving training projects/programs for Tualatin Manufacturing. You'll be at the forefront of project initiation through delivery, using your expertise to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

In this role, the Program Manager will be responsible for driving effective learning solutions that support both new-hire onboarding and ongoing employee development within Lam's manufacturing organization.

The Program Manager also serves as a strategic collaborator who partners with business leaders and subject matter experts to design, manage, and deliver effective learning solutions that drive performance and development. This role blends strong project management discipline, instructional design expertise, and deep knowledge of adult learning principles to ensure learning initiatives are engaging, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.

What you'll do
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a crossfunctional team, having a results-driven mindset with strong ownership and accountability for assigned work and outcomes.
  • Thrives in a fastpaced, dynamic environment, proactively identifying issues and proposing practical and effective solutions while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Assess hiring needs in manufacturing, align needs with key stakeholders, and oversee the tracking of accurate headcount, attrition rates, and progression towards headcount goals.
  • Provide weekly workforce reporting to senior leadership and contingent workforce management to ensure accurate alignment with supervisor and shift headcount requirements.
  • Drive process improvements where needed to optimize hiring and/or training processes.
  • Demonstrates the ability to proactively identify issues and propose practical, effective solutions.
  • Creatively design and develop engaging eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline 360 and other eLearning software (Captivate, Vyond, Adobe Cloud, etc.), and integrate emerging instructional methods and technologies into eLearning.
  • Own learning initiatives endtoend from discovery and design through execution and evaluation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create, maintain, and enhance online and onsite training for Tualatin Operations.
  • Responsible for conducting needs assessments, creating design documents, storyboards, scripts, project plans, and communication plans for training projects.
Who we're looking for

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing or other high-volume manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a matrixed organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, creative thinking, and strong problem-solving.
  • Strong risk management background with the ability to define scope, milestones, timelines, risks, dependencies, and success metrics for manufacturing learning programs.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage stakeholders.
  • Expertise in instructional methods and training techniques, including curriculum design principles, adult learning theory, and blended learning strategies.
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360 and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to work onsite in Tualatin, OR, Monday through Friday; 8am to 5pm.
  • Ability to occasionally adjust schedule to support classroom requirements and/or business needs.
Preferred qualifications
  • Additional skills and experience beneficial for this role include direct experience with Manufacturing environments semiconductor or other industries, Wet or Dry Deposition Manufacturing, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and LMS programs such as Cornerstone. PMP Certification.
