Job Summary
Supervise technicians to create an environment of teamwork and support between highly skilled teams responsible for building services, equipment installations/repair, preventive maintenance and disaster recovery. Working under minimal supervision, operates and monitors building systems and infrastructure, prioritizes and assigns work to maintenance technicians and follows up to verify completion and quality. Monitors vendor performance of major equipment systems maintenance.

Essential Functions

  • The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
  • Provides supervision, training, performance manage coaching and development opportunities for a team of highly skilled, multi-disciplined technicians, who have the expertise, knowledge and resources required to diagnose and evaluate problems, operate complex systems and respond to emergency situations.
  • Prioritizes and assigns work to maintenance technicians and follows up to verify completion and quality. Provides training, technical coaching and scheduling of work.
  • Monitor and operate critical facilities equipment using Automated Building Management System.
  • Monitor vendor performance of major equipment systems maintenance (HVAC, mechanical life safety plumbing).
  • Aide in supervision and performance of preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including ordering supply parts.
  • Schedule technicians' shifts and ensuring time is properly entered into time tracking system.

Required Experience:
3+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Building systems maintenance (HVAC electro-mechanical etc.) operation and repair.
1+ year(s) leadership experience including direct supervisory experience, project team leadership, training, coaching, auditing, or providing day-to-day direction to team members
Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
Supervision/Leadership experience such as training and performing quality of work reviews on junior technicians.
Experience working on a computer in a Windows environment.
Experience with Automated Building Management Systems.
Knowledge of chiller plant operations, electrical and life safety systems.
Experience reading blueprints and electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plans.
Must meet the requirements to be classified as a Regular Driver in accordance with Vehicle Use Policy Number 4.16.
Shift work required - Must be able to work day, night and weekend shift rotation.

Preferred Licenses and Certifications
Related electrical or HVAC related licenses

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of on-site generating systems

General Physical Demands:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.

Physical/Environmental Activities:
Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Occasionally May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions of cold, heat, wet, and humidity. Frequently May be exposed to outdoor or warehouse conditions of loud noises, vibration, fumes, dust, odors, and mists. Annualized Salary Range: $65,400 - $106,200

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $65,400 - $81,700

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
