Overview of Position:

Streck is recruiting for a Red Blood Cell Summer Assistant to join our Red Blood Cell team this summer. This position will work in our labs helping to aspirate, dilute, and add chemicals in the process of getting our final products ready.

The primary responsibilities include:



  • Process cellular components and materials according to standard operating procedures
  • Run sterility and sampling tests
  • Perform laboratory procedures
  • Perform final counts and scans of production cellular components
  • Complete all appropriate documentation


Requirements include:



  • Enrolled in high school or collegiate experience in a science related field of study
  • Must be dependable, well organized, and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently, both orally and in writing.
  • Proven solid work history.
  • Must display the ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
  • Prior laboratory experience helpful.
  • Strong computer skills (Word and Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail


Work Schedule:



  • 8-hour days - Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm


Dress Code Requirements:



  • Casual - jeans and t-shirt
  • Dedicated Shoes



Physical and Mental Demands:



  • Medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Standing 8hrs/day
