SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for designing, building, and enabling enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. This role focuses on applied generative AI, including agent development, prompting, and workflow design, with a strong emphasis on data readiness, enablement, and knowledge sharing. The AI Solutions Engineer partners closely with the Director of IT to execute Streck's AI Strategy, ensure underlying data is clean, reliable, and suitable for AI use, and build enterprise AI agents. This role collaborates with data and business teams to translate business needs into governed, high-impact AI solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
1.Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance decision preparation.
2.Partner with the data team and business stakeholders to ensure data is clean, well-structured, and ready for use before AI agents are designed or deployed.
3.Design, build, test, and deploy enterprise AI agents using Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio to support high-value business use cases.
4.Develop and refine prompting patterns, agent templates, and reusable AI components aligned with Streck workflows and decision processes.
5.Support and actively participate on the AI Steering Committee by providing technical input on proposed AI use cases, including feasibility, value, and risk considerations
6.Ensure AI solutions align with Streck governance, security, compliance, and acceptable use standards.
7.Create and maintain documentation for AI agents, prompting patterns, workflows, and enablement practices.
8.Support organization-wide adoption of Microsoft Copilot by sharing best practices and usage guidance.
9.Collaborate with IT, data, and business teams to ensure AI solutions are grounded in reliable data and integrated into existing systems and processes.
10.Stay current with advancements in generative AI, Microsoft Copilot capabilities, and agent-based design, and share learnings with leadership.
11.Perform other duties related to AI enablement and innovation as assigned by IT leadership.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
*Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Experience working with generative AI tools, including prompt engineering and agent-based solutions.
*Experience designing or supporting business workflows, automation, or decision-support systems.
*Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
*Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
*Experience with generative AI platforms and tools, preferably Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio.
*Strong understanding of prompt engineering, agent behavior, and human-in-the-loop AI design.
*Strong understanding of data quality, data readiness, and the relationship between data models and AI-enabled solutions.
*Ability to design AI solutions with appropriate security, data protection, and access controls in mind.
*Ability to design and support AI-enabled workflows that integrate with existing business processes.
*Ability to document AI solutions, workflows, and best practices clearly and effectively.
*Ability to work effectively with IT and business teams to support solution deployment and adoption.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL DEMANDS:
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work). Travel demands for this position are estimated up to 5%. If travel is required, this travel may include customer visits, events/trade shows, and completion of presentations primarily throughout Domestic US or International regions. Employees must comply with all travel recommendations regarding "safe travel" according to company policies and guidelines, and all federal, state, local, and international orders.

**PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 0 pounds of force constantly to move objects. This also includes standing for up to two and a half hours consecutively, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, stooping, fingering, and grasping.
