Overview

SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting the Business Development + Marketing (BD+M) team through research and business development activities. The role operates within a dynamic, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment and requires strong independent decisionmaking, focus under deadlinedriven conditions, and effective management of multiple concurrent priorities. The analyst reports directly to the Business Development Operations Manager.



Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES

    Access a variety of market intelligence tools to research and monitor competitors and industry news, develop target client profiles, source reports and information, and issue routine briefings to the management staff.
  • As requested by the BD Leads, perform sector and industry research to include market trends, future projects, potential new clients, and competitors
  • Work closely with BD Leads to identify new growth opportunities for firm's service lines
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the company's business pipeline database; enter and retrieve data; analyze, create, and present reports from databases; monitor all pipeline records for completeness and accuracy; compile data; review and prepare reports and debriefings.
  • Track, identify, and share new project opportunities through GovWin and other market research tools and procurement sites
  • Monitor industry events/conferences for potential MBP participation. Work closely with marketing and BD leads on optimizing the return on investment (ROI) for large conference participation. Assist with collecting post event market intelligence and then update internal databases and collaboration tools and the practice/service line leaders
  • Research capital budgets for federal/state/local governmental agencies as needed and assist BD Leads in the development of capture strategies for upcoming projects
  • Participate in relevant industry networking and professional organization events, as appropriate
  • Lead the planning and writing of client proof statements and value propositions companywide
  • Other related duties as assigned

RESPONSIBILITY/SUPERVISION:
Receives overall guidance on emphasis and approach from the Business Development Operations Manager. Works independently, seeking guidance and direction as needed. No direct reports at this time.



Qualifications

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:

Minimum of two years of experience in a corporate/business environment; Experience with Government contracting is preferred.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or Marketing

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, exhibiting strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High-level proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; as well as market intelligence tools such as Deltek GovWin.
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently, and make decisions with minimal oversight
  • Ability to handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with people of varying backgrounds
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of personnel from entry level to senior management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
