Financial Analystin GAC Savannah Unique Skills: Proficiency in Excel is required. Must possess and demonstrate strong communication skills. Must be detail oriented and able to arrive at, and communicate, insightful conclusions based on data research and analysis. Power BI, Corridor and / or SAP experience is a plus. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master's Degree preferred. 2 years of experience with increasing financial responsibility. Other Certification preferred. Position Purpose: Under limited supervision, develop operational business area budgets and forecasts. Performs ongoing analysis and reporting of actual performance to budgets and/or forecasts. Provides general financial analysis in support of company goals and strategic initiatives. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Assist department and financial management in preparation of annual budgets and projections. Ensure accurate and timely financial performance analysis and reporting. Analyze financial performance versus budget/business plan, including identification of root causes and corrective actions. Prepare accurate and timely financial analysis and report actual financial performance versus budgets and forecasts. Compile financial information to develop budgets, identify causes of major variances and ensure accuracy of actual data. Perform other duties as assigned.
