Overview

Build your clean energy career in one of the largest demand response teams in the country! Con Edison's demand response team is hiring a Software Project Manager. The demand response team manages dispatchable distributed energy resources (including curtailment and generation) that are located at customer facilities to reduce the demand on the electric grid on the hottest days of the year. The Project Manager will have full responsibility of managing the delivery of the Demand Response Management Systems (DRMS) functionality needed to successfully run the Company's demand response programs. This includes oversight over requirements gathering, management of external software development vendor and system integrator, testing and integration of the DRMS vendor's software, and scope and budget of the DRMS project. The DRMS software recently completed scalability enhancements, which expanded the software capability from managing 3,000 customers to over 100,000. The current three-year roadmap calls for over $20M of investments to increase the functionality of this software. The Project Manager will be responsible for all modifications and enhancements to the DRMS system and will work alongside the Demand Response Operations and Strategy Managers. This is a great role to demonstrate your ability to drive results, apply cross-disciplinary skills to the clean energy space, and gain firsthand experience with the clean energy transition.
