Registered Nurse - PICU/NICU FLOAT POOL - PICU/NICU Part Time 87743BR Job Summary The staff RN is a professional caregiver who follows the framework of primary nursing and assumes responsibility and accountability for the care and teaching of groups of patients/families for a designated time frame. The staff RN directs and provides care to these patients utilizing therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other team members. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $84.78 - $109.85 (Hourly Rate). These nurses are expertly cross trained in various specialties and are deployed to areas experiencing increased patient volume, staffing shortages, or other emergent needs. They bring exceptional flexibility, adaptability, and clinical expertise to every assignment, ensuring continuity of care and upholding the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction. Their broad skill set enables them to seamlessly integrate into diverse clinical environments, including medical-surgical, PICU, NICU, emergency, and specialty units-while consistently delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
