Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will drive between assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team. Bring teamwork, integrity, and a people-first mindset to every shift in this driver-required role.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all visitors and staff by following site-specific post orders, access procedures, and security-related protocols for a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entry points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and document visitor access in accordance with site policy.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate shift activity to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
