About Rivendell:

Rivendell is a 149 inpatient psychiatric hospital located in the heart of Bowling Green, KY on a 49 acre campus. At Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital, children who are in crisis receive psychiatric care. Teens suffering from depression, disabling anxiety, feelings of hopelessness or suicide can learn new ways to cope. Teens and adults suffering from chemical dependency and substance abuse can get help.

Position Summary: Supervises skills and semi-skilled workers. Assists in the maintenance of buildings and grounds; ensure building meets life safety standards/code; performs administrative duties and other duties as deemed necessary.


Qualifications

Qualifications: Required High School Graduate/GED, Vocational/Technical School Graduate, Preferred Bachelors Degree

Specialized Skills:

* Knowledge of methods and practices used in maintaining building and skill in use of various kinds of tools and equipment.

* Knowledge of life safety regulations/codes.

* Ability to supervise, plan and organize.

* Ability to multi-task and oversee several projects at one time while providing timeline and progress reports to CEO.

* Ability to work well with outside vendors to schedule, manage and oversee projects from bidding process to completion.

* Maintain regulatory required documentation of life safety and environmental of care per local, state, federal and Joint Commission regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

*Supervise and manage maintenance and housekeeping staff. Plans work schedules.

* Monitors work order system and manages delegation. Routinely rounds facility and grounds to ensure safety and maintenance is up to standards; noting needed repairs and delegating or contacting outside vendors to make needed repairs.

* Reports progress and timeline of projects/repairs of the facility to the CEO. Performs spot checks and acts as project manager to ensure safety, quality, efficiency and accuracy of the project.

* Performs and/or supervises preventative maintenance on the physical plant.

* Coordinates with outside vendors.

* Performs administrative duties as needed to ensure completion of required regulatory documentation of all life safety and environment of care per local, state, federal and Joint Commission regulations.

* Coordinates with CFO related to budgetary requests.

* Coordinate special projects as assigned.

* Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
