Summary
The Senior Operations Manager will lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of DSV's transportation and logistics division, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective service delivery. This role will be responsible for strategic operational planning, team leadership, policy development, and fostering strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. The Senior Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and supporting the company's growth objectives..

Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all aspects of the transportation and logistics division, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating operations to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.
* Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
* Provide leadership and guidance to operations staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management, to build a high-performing team.
* Monitor key performance indicators, analyze operational metrics, and implement action plans to continuously improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and vendors to ensure service excellence and strengthen business partnerships.
* Collaborate closely with sales, customer service, and other internal departments to ensure alignment and smooth operational workflows.
* Drive process improvement initiatives and adopt best practices, including lean methodologies, to enhance operational effectiveness.

Educational background / Work experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in transportation and logistics management, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or senior leadership role.
* Experience in international transportation and logistics management is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies
* Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse operations team.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to address complex operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
* In-depth knowledge of transportation and logistics processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
* Proficiency with transportation management software (TMS/WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Directly manages a team of operations staff, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight.

Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
* Experience in international transportation and logistics management.

Language skills
* Fluency in English (oral and written).

Computer Literacy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with transportation management software.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $103,500- $155,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
