Mercy Hospital Springfield - Perioperative Services

Full-Time: Monday - Friday

8:00AM to 5:00PM

Overview:

A departmental leader who is responsible for leading their respective department in providing Mercy Signature Service. Manages to budget, generates policies/procedures, develops/implements performance improvement plans to drive lean processes and meet goals/objectives/KPI's. Supports the overall direction of Supply Chain. Efforts are focused on maximizing quality and service, while achieving standardization, cost containment and process performance.

  • Provides effective leadership and direction for the department(s).
  • Maintains a high degree of flexibility when managing day-to-day operations or unexpected events.
  • Demonstrates sound judgement and good decision-making skills, seeking expertise of others, as needed.
  • Oversees processes driving the hiring, training and evaluation of co-workers in all reporting departments.
  • Fosters a culture of co-worker growth and talent development.
  • Cultivates and nurtures relationships with co-workers to promote an engaged workforce through communication, transparency and personal accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in business, marketing or nursing
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years or OR Sterile Processing experience required. Leadership over a large group of people and knowledge/ exposure within Operating Room setting.
  • Other: Demonstrated leadership ability Significant experience in management/marketing/business development Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Ability to analyze complex data and implement business/marketing plans Past experiences must have demonstrated leadership ability, good interpersonal skills and the ability to apply sound principles of management and supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Manages others in a kind, courteous and professional manner. Demonstrates the ability to evaluate financial reports to support business decisions applicable for growth in Perinatal Services. Must be proficient in use of a personal computer and must be able to analyze complex data from various information systems.
  • Preferred Education: Master's degree in related field
