Summary of This Role Provides hands-on validation and readiness assessment for POS devices, payment terminals, kiosks, and in-store hardware systems used in restaurant and retail environments. Ensures devices, peripherals, networking, and fleet management capabilities function reliably together by loading software builds, enrolling devices into remote management platforms, executing real-world store and deployment scenarios, and identifying integration and lifecycle risks. Serves as the Product organization's execution arm for hardware, store systems, and device fleet validation, providing evidence-based feedback to Product Management, Engineering, and vendor partners to support informed go or no-go deployment decisions. What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities? Skills / Knowledge Demonstrates broad hands-on experience across devices, peripherals, and store systems. Applies practical testing techniques and product judgment to identify integration risks and resolve complex hardware and environment-specific issues. Communicates clearly with Product, Engineering, and vendors using evidence and reproducible results. Job Complexity Works on complex, multi-variable store environments where device behavior depends on hardware, software, peripherals, and network conditions. Exercises independent judgment in designing validation scenarios, prioritizing issues, and determining readiness for deployment. Supervision Works independently with minimal supervision. Determines testing approach and validation methods for new hardware and store configurations.
