The Position

2026 Summer Intern - Regev Lab - Spatial Readout

Department Summary

Regev lab is seeking a talented and highly motivated intern with a strong experimental and/or computational background. This project addresses the challenge of understanding how localized molecular factors modulate biological responses within complex tissue environments.
To bridge the gap between discovery and functional efficacy, we utilize a spatially resolved, in vivo screening platform. This system enables the systematic evaluation of how local perturbations remodel their surrounding environment and drive specific functional signatures at scale.

This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site.

The Opportunity

The intern will focus on the spatial readout and phenotypic characterization of these perturbations. The goal is to deconvolve how specific localized factors drive distinct biological phenotypes using high-resolution tissue profiling and in situ analysis. By combining advanced biochemical assay development with spatial mapping, this work aims to map the functional architecture of complex tissue systems.

Program Highlights

  • Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

  • Program start dates are in May/June 2026.

  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
