Position Summary

Review daily tasks and workflows and provide guidance, support, and oversight to Patient Support staff to ensure accuracy and adherence to SHC and departmental guidelines for medical and CWS services. Assist Patient Support staff with problem solving. Prepare staff assignments to maintain adequate department coverage. Modify and implement clinician schedules in the EMR. Create tip sheets and develop other tools to help drive staff skill development, compliance and service improvements. In collaboration with Manager, Patient Support Services, work to enhance staff understanding, performance, and excellence in medical and counseling services.


Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
2+ years of relevant experience with knowledge of a specific area (e.g., supervising administrative services/processes and/or staff), which may have been acquired through experience in a similar setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in a high volume patient ambulatory health care environment. Working knowledge of workflow analysis and improvement, leadership, and customer service. Working knowledge/understanding of insurance terms and processes. Proficient with working in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals both verbally and in writing. Ability to collect, assess, and interpret data. Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills, and judgment.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.


Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $76,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
