dormakaba is seeking a IGS Intern to join our Summer 2026 Rising Talent Program in Indianapolis. This role will report directly to the Product Manager IV. The IGS Intern is responsible for Gathering data and analyze the business challenges alongside subject matter experts. Drive evidence-based decision-making that helps design a new process.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $19.00-$23.00/hr (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

What you will do
  • Collect and analyze data with subject matter experts to identify business challenges and support evidence-based process design.
  • Hold regular check-in meetings with your supervisor to track progress on assigned projects.
  • Participate in weekly Lunch & Learn sessions to build knowledge across business topics such as Presentation Skills, Environmental Health & Safety, Product Overview, and Finance 101.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to drive evidence-based decisions that improve processes, introduce new technologies, enhance collaboration, or positively shape company culture.
  • Engage in meetings within and outside your core responsibilities to expand exposure and understanding of the organization.
  • Partner with fellow interns to collaborate on cross-functional projects.
What we require
  • University/College students pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and Spring 2029.
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks (May-August 2026)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
What we prefer * Previous internship or co-op experience in operations, business analysis, or related fields. * Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) or statistical software. * Coursework or project experience in process improvement, business analytics, or operations management. * Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or product design tools. * Demonstrated leadership through campus organizations, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities.
