Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer position with a financial client located in Charlotte, NC. This is a hybrid 6+ month contract opportunity. Summary: Our client is leading a Digital Transformation across their Americas Division as they continue to modernize their technology, focus on a data-driven approach, and plan for the future. As a result of this expansion, we are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with 10+ years of relevant experience to support the design and development of a strategic data platform for a leading financial services client. Responsibilities: Be part of the Data Strategy team, spanning across Capital Markets and securities teams Actively develop the data platform, beginning with the establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data, and later moving to other data domains Follow internal development standards to contribute to the overall agenda of the Data Strategy team Implement a strategic platform on the client's Azure Cloud Platform Requirements: 10+ years of experience as a full stack Python developer and Data Engineer Proven experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Gen 2, Azure Databases, Azure Data Fabric, API Gateway management, and Azure Functions Well-versed with Azure Databricks Strong SQL skills with RDBMS or NoSQL databases Experience with developing APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks in Python Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle (git, Jenkins, etc) and CI/CD processes Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position. Desired skills: Experience in the financial services industry, financial instruments, asset classes, and market data Pay rate up to $63.02 hourly.
